The Hill is a long-established Italian-American neighborhood with family-owned delis, sandwich shops and bakeries on Marconi Avenue, and trattorias, pizzerias and upscale Italian eateries dotting the streets around Shaw and Wilson avenues. The “Italian Immigrants” statue stands outside St. Ambrose Catholic Church, and locals gather to play bocce at Milo’s Bocce Garden and in neighborhood parks.

The Hill is a long-standing Italian-American neighborhood in Saint Louis, MO known for maintaining its authentic Italian culture. Everything is vibrant– even the fire hydrants are painted green, white and red like the flag of Italy. Cafes and small retail businesses create additional energy in the cozy enclave. Visitors and locals alike flock to this historic part of the city to explore the family-friendly, tight-knit community and feast on the flavors of Italy.

The Hill is our Italian - American neighborhood. If you want authentic Italian food and experience, you must stop in this neighborhood. They have traditional Italian fine dining or check out one of their many delis and bars. The Hill is where the toasted ravioli was created and you can not leave this neighborhood with out trying them! This neighborhood is a 12 min drive from The Grove and very walk-able once you have entered the neighborhood.
