Our Little House started its life as a 2-car garage, on the alley behind our home, that we transformed into our vision of a cozy and peaceful retreat. This light filled studio is professionally designed, features art from local artists and designers, and is equipped with heating & AC, making it a very comfortable spot to relax and enjoy Portland. You'll have a fully detached private guest house with a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor space and be two blocks away from the vibrant Alberta district.

Our guesthouse is situated behind our home, located on a large corner lot in beautiful Grant Park. Surrounded by picturesque homes and tree-canopied streets, it’s a perfect combination of peace and quiet alongside accessibility. Dozens of local shops and fabulous PDX restaurants, just a 10 minute walk away. Five minutes to freeway access, guests enjoy convenient options, exclusive privacy, and detailed designer touches. A perfect base camp for an extended PNW exploration, or a weekend getaway!

Explore the world-class restaurants, coffee shops and bars in the nearby Williams and Mississippi districts. Take a stroll around the award winning (and oldest) rose garden in the City of Roses across the street in Peninsula Park. At home, this second story studio has extra space in the meditation loft, a full kitchen, fast internet, and projector for streaming. Enjoy your private deck over the shared garden with hammock and H/C outdoor shower. Bus and train nearby with ample on-street parking.

No neighbor's windows looking into apartment, or outdoor patio space. NOT FOR LOUD PEOPLE/ GROUPS: Only mature, respectful guests to stay in my home.

The Overlook neighborhood is one of Portland's hidden gems. Quiet, tree lined, yet only a few minutes from all the action Portland serves up. Walk or ride to meals, brewpubs or shopping in the Mississippi and Williams districts. Hop a train (three blocks away) to all quarters. Or, to unwind, walk to Overlook or Mocks Crest parks for sweeping views of downtown Portland, Forest Park and the Willamette River. Cozy, beautiful casita! This is the only home of its kind in Portland. Artfully built in traditional timber-frame style, all of the joinery is wood-to-wood. Every timber was milled from our family land. Insulation is clay-straw and the walls are natural plaster. Enjoy a true refuge in the heart of NE Portland, walking distance to many restaurants, cafes, parks, Alberta Arts district & more. 12 minute drive to PDX, 15 to downtown. AC, free street parking, full kitchen, pet friendly.

'Mallory homestead' private garden apartment

A garden oasis and your own entrance to a private daylit ground floor apartment with a queen size bed, a fold out queen futon sofa bed in the common area and its own bathroom. Within easy walking /biking distance1.7 miles to hip strolling neighborhoods Alberta, Mississippi and Williams of north Portland. Light and airy with full kitchen half mile from train, 10 minute train ride from downtown. Note: stone path and 3 narrow steps to front door. You can see them in the photos .

Located in NW Portland, our space is in a quiet neighborhood, next to a park and tennis courts. We are 7 minutes from the Nike Headquarters, 2 minutes from Columbia Sportswear Headquarters, and 15 minutes from Intel, making it a perfect stay for your business needs. We are within walking distance to a grocery store, pubs, small restaurants, and the Saturday Cedar Mill Farmers Market. Close by is the entrance to Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks, with 80 miles of trails.
