Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. The apartment is located in a historic French house, built in the early 1930s. It has been renovated and transformed with my love. All the decorations are handmade, making it truly the best place for relaxation and rest during your holiday. It is filled with natural light and surrounded by greenery, with a direct view of “Van Mieu - Temple of Literature” The entrance to the apartment is a little bit small private entrance on the side of the house number 3 Van Mieu, HN Supperhost.
