Woodland Hideaway in Dunsmuir near Mt. Shasta

The Woodland Hideaway has two bedrooms: one with a king size bed & master bath & one with a queen. Another full bath is close by. Two cots are also available. The living room has comfortable seating, a pool table, wood burning stove, and a 56” Smart TV. A second living area includes a gas fireplace, comfortable seating, dining area, desk and a picture window which looks out into a canopy of fir, pine, holly & black oak trees. The kitchen is fully stocked and we also have a washer & dryer.

A unique river retreat for relaxing and viewing wildlife. We are minutes from extensive trails and about an hour from Lassen Park. Our house has fragile and antique components and is not suited for pets, groups or children. If you are ok with quirky, imperfect, au natural and "wild" (possibility of snakes and spiders) we have your place! With windows along most of the east side, you will almost always have a view of the Sacramento River. This is not a cookie cutter house—please read listing.

Winter snow, Spring animal babies every place you look, summer swimming, fishing, boating fire pit, star gazing, Fall Harvest, fresh fruits and vegetables to share, we process our gardens by canning, preserving, and cook cook cook. Nestled in the forest, this new and beautiful 1 bedroom house offers a peaceful, safe and tranquil place to stay and relax. You will feel like you are in your own world, but the town of Mt. Shasta is only 3 miles away. It is also conveniently located close to Lake Siskiyou and Mount Shasta Ski resort. There are nearby hiking and biking trails. Whether you just want to relax, and/or get out and see the beautiful Mount Shasta area, the Sugar Pine is a great place to be!
