The property has recently been refurbished with a new kitchen, bathroom, new wooden flooring and carpets throughout. It is in the perfect position on the West Coast of the Island to visit such historical sites as the Callanish Standing Stones and the Carloway Broch. There are fishing rods for use, beach furniture and numerous children's toys kept in the detached garage. Free Wi Fi is also available

Bothag Bhuirgh Family pod

The family pod has a small double bed and two single beds. There is a kettle in the room as well as tea bags, coffee, sugar sachets, milk portions. The family pod has private use of the pod next door, which has a toilet, shower and wash hand basin. All toiletries, linen and towels provided. It is most suitable for a couple with 2 children, or 3 adults. It would be a tight squeeze for 4 adults. The guests can have shared use of the barn with campers and it has all amenities required for cooking.

Here is our new well kitted out Pod.It has underfloor heating,hot water,two ring induction hob,fridge/freezer,kettle,toaster,fixed double bed,and sofa bed.For your comfort it has toilet,wash hand basin and shower.Also WiFi,alexa, tv/dvd,amazon fire stick (netflix/childrens tv etc).It is very comfortable and cosy, with super soft fluffy fleece bedding and a pure wool duvet. It also has a bbq area with seating and fire pit for chilled out evenings. The pod is at the end of a quiet village.

MacKay House is situated 7 miles from Stornoway on the east coast of the Island in the village of Coll. While enjoying the rural location it is only a 15 minute drive to the town centre which has shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The house, a former crofting house, has recently been refurbished to a high standard to cater for the modern day visitor to this scenic and stunning island. There are beaches from as little as a 10 minute walk from the house. Ample off street car parking.
