Relax with the whole family after exploring the vast chunks of public land that Southern Iowa is known for. There are many types of outdoor recreational opportunities including Foraging for Morels, Fishing on Lake Rathbun and the many local creeks, to exploring/bird watching on the vast areas on Sedan Bottoms WMA. Looking to check out some areas in Northern Missouri, then Rebels Cove is just a short drive and has plenty of land to roam! Or just relax at camp and take advantage of our WiFi!

This beautiful home away from home is perfectly located in the heart of Centerville. Things to do while you’re in town all within 1-3 miles. The Largest square in Iowa is located 1 mile from the house. Lots of beautiful shops. Movie theater, Bowling alley, museum, eateries, Tangleberries(cafe), grocery stores, Wal-mart, Pub/bars & etc Kid friendly as well, play structure within 2 blocks, Basketball courts, soccer fields, tracks and beautiful trails to explore & etc. Adventure Awaits!!!😊

The Veach Retreat

This spacious, 3 bedroom apartment is located on the World’s Largest Town Square, 15 minutes from Lake Rathbun, and short walking distance for restaurants and shopping. The apartment can sleep up to 11 with 3 bedrooms (king size master, 2 queen rooms, two memory-foam pull-out couches in living room, and full size futon in the master). There are 2 newly remodeled bathrooms, on-site laundry, self-check in with keypad entry, stocked kitchen, WiFi, tv’s in each bedroom, and office space.

When traveling through northeast Missouri or southern Iowa, keep it simple at this charming cottage with stunning sunsets. The Cottages at Whippoorwill Acres were newly built in 2025 and are located at the junction of Highways 63 and 136 south of Lancaster, Missouri. Kirksville, MO is located 20 minutes to the south, and Bloomfield, IA is located 25 minutes to the north. We have six cottages on the property that accommodate 1-6 guests each. Welcome to IA Cabins, formerly known as Whispering Breezes/Winds. Overlooking beautiful Lake Rathbun, IA Cabins is home to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Currently, we have six cabins available for nightly rental. Two of our cabins are handicap accessible with accessible bathrooms as well. Come stay a night or more! Monthly rentals will be considered on individual basis. (No Pets in cabins #1, #3, #5, and #6. Cabins #2 and #4 are pet friendly with a $50 pet fee)

A simple no frills Amish built 4 bedroom 2 bath log cabin, ready to make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. We have portable ac uniits it is NOT central air. It is NOT cold! Semi-private lake community with 5 in total log cabins and a fun lake for fishing or swimming. The cabin has a fire pit, and charcoal bbq. We are 1 mile from beautiful Lake Rathbun. No microwaves No TV and no Wi-Fi

This a very quiet comfortable and peaceful place no matter what your reason for visiting the area.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Lake Rathbun is 1 mile away. Centerville has everything you need and is only a 5 minute drive. Largest public hunting grounds around Rathbun. Great lake for boating and fishing. Bait Shop and Restaurant 2 blocks away. Perfect location!

Coal Miner's Cottage

This small, aged home is set in a tiny, quiet town. Just yards from the house you will find pastures, cattle, and wildlife. The side yard is spacious and includes room for outdoor activities. The former long-time resident has moved on, leaving the well-lived space for your pleasure.

All Aboard to a fun train-themed stay.

All Aboard is a spacious train-themed upstairs 2 BR, 1 Bath furnished apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. It is not ADA compliant. There is plenty of free parking if you are coming to hunt and bringing an off-road vehicle.
