Anchor cottage, an Historic Home and now with EV charger, is a delightful period, cottage situated in the heart of The Anchorage, once known as Mersea City on Mersea Island. It has three bedrooms, a large double, a twin room and a downstairs single bedroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor and large sitting/dining room with a gas heater and provides plenty of space for five people indoors and there is a private, wrap around garden with BBQ area that enjoys the sun at most times of the day.

Holland Beach is a 15 minute walk and the nearest dog park is a 5 minute walk across the road. We only rent to over 21's. All dogs are welcome at no extra charge but must be kept on a leash, whilst out on site. Great bus service into Clacton town and direct buses to Colchester, St Oysth and Harwich. Club house has decent acts on but you must purchase site passes to watch.

Forget your worries in this calm space. Our annex is detached from the main house and you have the run of the whole place. Set on 1/2 acre of land in the sweet countryside of Tendring Village with lovely farmland views. There is parking on a large drive. Please enjoy our spacious green garden where our chickens roam free. There's lots of walk’s nearby, including beaches just 15-20 mins drive. There is 1 large bedroom with double bed, with 3 small folding beds available on request.

It is situated in between the village centre, where you will find all the necessary amenities, and Mill Dam Lake, where you will find water sport activities, scenic walks and bike rides. The cottage has been completely renovated to retain all the original quirky features of wonky ceilings, old exposed beams and original gate doors. The rooms are cosy and inviting.
