Our house is a unique property located in a stunning cliff drop at Azenhas do Mar. The property is special as it offers sea views from every room, with a spacious outside terrace hanging over the sea, where you can relax, dine and enjoy the beautiful view over looking the Atlantic ocean. Just picture waking up and looking through a window as you see and hear the ocean. You also benefit from walking distance to fantastic Portuguese food restaurants and local amenities so you never need to drive.

Casa da Encosta - Hillside cabin near the sea

Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

The container unit is private only for you. Its entrance is via the the sunroom. The “Casa do Caseiro” is a small cottage, located between the mountain and the sea, 35km away from Lisbon and 5 minutes to Sintra, in Colares Village. It's locatted in the heart of the natural park. It has a garden with plenty of space to rest or to have an enjoyable dinner “al fresco”. In the attic you can find the bedroom, and on the ground floor the living room and a small office with a sofa bed for extra guests. Here you can rest, relax, read or write.
