Enjoy staying in a stylish apartment that’s walking distance to downtown Rockford, the Rockford dam and only 5 minutes to the highway! Apartment is fully furnished and has everything you need. But if you’d rather get out and explore, you are steps from the charming downtown Rockford full of shops, restaurants and activities. Bedroom has a king size bed. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. If downtown isn’t your scene, the bungalow is a quick drive to Pere Marquette beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. Large, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach are the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun.

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.

Our home is on a quiet residential street of families and children... If your visit won't fit that vibe you may be happier elsewhere. There is a private, lit entrance to the studio apartment with a keyless lock system. We send the code for the lock system just prior to your stay.

Tiny House In the City

Welcome to our tiny home! In 2019 my husband and I set out to renovate this old pool house into a self-sustainable apartment or tiny home. As you can imagine… things did not turn out the way we intended and construction was completed in the fall of 2020! The amenities are not lacking within the space and we know you will feel at home!
