Cosy Coastal Shepherd's Hut near Veryan, Cornwall

Discover the gorgeous landscape that surrounds this tranquil place. We are on the unspoilt Roseland Peninsula, surrounded by fields and with sea views across to dramatic Dodman Point, the highest headland on the south coast of Cornwall. Ideal for walkers, we are less than a mile from the South West Coast Path. Although very rural, we are within walking distance of two pubs, the New Inn at Veryan and The Ship at Portloe. The village shop & post office are at Veryan for your added convenience.

Laid Back Living in Dreckly, a Unique Experience

If you are animal lovers, come and have cuddles with all our free-range pets. We have super friendly sheep, pygmy goats, cats, dogs, chickens & ducks that will come and say hi during your stay. We are only 2 miles off the A30 so easy to reach all those hidden gems & St Ives is only 30 mins away! If you prefer public transport, we have a bus stop near so you can enjoy taking in the Cornish scenery. The local village of St Day is only a 10 minute walk away and includes 2 general stores & 2 pubs.

Guests will enjoy the right amount of peaceful seclusion whilst being within easy access to all that North Cornwall has to offer.

Set within an apple orchard on the grounds of Eathorne Manor, the Applehay is the ideal spot for a getaway. Noah’s Ark is our Shepherd’s Hut situated in a rural conservation area just inside Cornwall and nestles between our goat’s & ponies’ paddock and overlooks our bordering river. The surrounding area is perfect for cycling & walks on Bodmin & Dartmoor & equidistant from the north & south coasts. We are lucky to have achieved our dream of living in Cornwall with our animals and want to share the experience with others who would love to escape to this life. Well behaved dogs are very welcome

Our beautiful bespoke shepherd's hut, The Idle Hour, enjoys a stunning location overlooking the North Cornish coast with panoramic sea views from Trebarwith to Tintagel church. Get away from it all, going back to basics but with a few luxuries such as an ensuite bathroom (shower), 100% cotton bedding and kitchenette.
