The cottage features full amenities that include: Tempurpedic™ queen-size bed. Wi-Fi . Cable HDTV, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, coffee maker, toaster, and iron. Window seat for sitting, reading or lounging. Private entrance and patio connecting to a courtyard and Japanese garden. Spacious bathroom with 12 foot high tiled shower. French doors open to a private sitting area. If the days are booked in the cottage we might have an opening at, Mikes House and Garden.

With a private backyard oasis, a neighboring art gallery, and a sweet location of only 1.5 miles from downtown, our "1-room hotel" is the place to stay. PLEASE NOTE: We live in an urban neighborhood and with that comes some urban noise. Upon request, we can provide a white noise machine and ear plugs for our guests, however, if you are a light sleeper our space might not be for you.

There are nearby restaurants, shops and nightclubs. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Note: No parking space is provided.

After your day down at the beach, stopping at the local restaurants, or taking a boat ride around San Diego bay, come back and chill out by the BBQ, or inside enjoying the smart TV or relaxing on the queen bed. Walking along side the main house into this secluded cottage, you’ll embark on your own vacay just 10 minutes from the airport. This converted separated garage is a home away from home with walking distance to University Ave with Communal Coffee for breakfast, and outdoor dinner dinning at Louisiana Purchase. If the zoo is what you desire, it is not a far walk but a little hike through the canyon is required.

The Frida House has a private entrance so you can easily come and go and is located in quiet, family-oriented neighborhood in the Sherman Heights historic district just a few blocks from downtown San Diego.
