Elevated over a natural spring that flows year round, the Japanese inspired aesthetics of this private, tiny cabin sits perched atop a deck among the wooded trees overlooking the waterway the mineral spring feeds, but not before filling the in-ground, cedar lined, two person, bubbling hot tub heated with a wood burning stove. One of two glamping sites on the 12 acres.

Built by a local carpenter (with help from his dog Indiana), the cabin has enough coziness and charm to make any stay special. Hike down to Mill Creek (on the property), grill up some burgers on the gas grill, or lounge in a hot tub beneath the stars. The cabin is 15 minutes to Ithaca / Cornell, has a living room with a Switch + BluRay + Netflix, and has satellite wifi (30+ MBPS).

DeRuyter Lakefront House on Peninsula 4br & Dock

Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by water on 3 sides of DeRuyter Lake in upstate NY. Set on a peninsula, this home has a lot of fun features, including a full lawn, screened in wrap around porch facing the water, outdoor BBQ area, fire pit, and seasonal private dock and boat slip. The Boathouse Restaurant is just a walk away. The friendly DeRuyter Lake General Store you can see from the porch windows on the south end. Please provide your own sheets, blankets, and towels. We are close to Syracuse NY, Jamesville Beach,and Tully. You’ll love our place because - Well, its a Hobbit House :). Very cozy 12 by 12 cabin set in the back of my land right where the woods start. Small cabin good for a couple and maybe a child or two but no more than that. It has an outhouse. If this is sounding too basic or off the grid then please don't book! :) because that's exactly what is. But you also get to say you stayed in a cozy little hobbit house.
