Our one-hundred acre farm is located in the small rural village of Washington. It is located just 2/10 of a mile from the village center where the general store, village church, library, and town offices are located. Beautiful Washington Pond boat landing is only 4/10 of a mile away. Easy commute East (30 minutes) to the coast and must see towns of Rockland, Rockport and Camden or West (30 minutes) to our capitol Augusta. One hour and forty minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Housekeeping Cabin on Damariscotta Lake

One of 4 lakefront cabins, large screened-in porch, kitchen/living room, 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 guests, claw foot tub in bathroom, large outdoor common shower. Guests bring their own linen and towels (can be rented for $10.00 per person). Wood stoves for cool evenings. Swim, kayak, canoe, row boat; fire pit for evening fires and roasting marshmallows. Minimum stay is 2 nights off season; however, if you see openings between bookings of less than 2 night(s) you may send in a request.

Get away from the hustle and bustle in this secluded, solar-powered, off-grid cottage overlooking a pastoral farm meadow. Drive past the red barn with chickens free-ranging, serene pond, and enter your own private oasis. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the sunrise over the meadow from your screened porch, and possibly catch a glimpse of the wildlife that abound on this 87 acre coastal Maine farm. ***NOTE. Halcyon Ridge is owned by Lynn & Chuck Hadyniak, who live nearby. Lynn & Chuck moved out of New Jersey years ago to get away from the hustle & bustle, & raise a family in peace. They love Freedom for its quiet & natural beauty, & would love to host people at Halcyon Ridge who also want to escape the noise. Stargazers will be delighted: low humidity, expansive view of the southeastern sky, & next to no light pollution, make for wonderful viewing. Rest. Relax. Recharge.

Little Apple Cabin on 5 acres, amazing stargazing!

Little Apple Cabin is a private tiny cabin on five wooded acres, created for guests who want quiet, space, and deep rest. Surrounded by trees and farmland, it’s a simple, intentional place to slow down, sleep well, and enjoy Maine without crowds or noise. The cabin features a king bed on the main level, a cozy wood stove, and a wrap-around cedar deck for coffee, reading, and stargazing. Camden and Rockland are about 25 minutes away, and Belfast is about 30 minutes.
