The Prayer Cabin is located at Lake Red Rock outside of Pella, IA. The cabin Is an Earthen/Berm home located on a 1 acre lot in a quiet & clean neighborhood. The lot boasts a wooded valley with many birds and squirrels to watch. The Prayer Cabin was recently remodeled with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. Our first guests asked us if Chip and Joanna were the creators of the design. 💚 Navy Blue cabinets, Tons of white shiplap and open shelving. Peaceful. A place of respite and relaxation.

Situated just 10 minutes south of the West Glen area of West Des Moines and 25 minutes from downtown Des Moines, you'll experience the quiet and beauty of rural Iowa while being close enough for shopping or to go out for a nice dinner or evening show. This is a great getaway.

Cabin Cove By the River

Take a step back in time when you enter our little log cabin by the river. Built in 1949, this cabin is a replica of the log cabins built by the gold seekers of Alaska. Though modern in most aspects we have retained the native charm of unfinished wood, rough, hand-hewn logs and naked beams. The inspiration for the cabin was found by my great grandfather who spent time in Alaska working on the Alcan highway.
