Ο παραδοσιακός οικισμός του Χρυσού βρίσκεται στους πρόποδες του Παρνασσού κι απέχει 15 χλµ από την Αράχωβα, 8 χλµ από την Ιτέα και μόλις 10′ από τους Δελφούς (6 χλμ - υπάρχει μάλιστα κι ένα ευκολοδιάβατο μονοπάτι που συνδέει τα δύο χωριά, για όσους έχουν διάθεση για πεζοπορία).
