This is a 100 year old farmhouse fully refurbished with all modern amenities. Three bedrooms and 1 bath, it is charming, cozy and tastefully decorated. The decor will take you back to a simple and easy time where raising big families and living off the land was the norm. Situated on the beautiful Doe river, you can step into the front yard and enjoy fly fishing or simply sit on the porch and enjoy the sound of the water. Located just a mile from Roan Mt State Park and 12 miles from the majestic mile high Roan Mt, home of the enchanting Rhodendron Gardens. This area is near Watauga Lake, Bristol Motor Speedway, several ski resorts, lots of hiking trails including the world famous Appalachian Trail. You will be in the midst of some of the prettiest fall leaves. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also nearby. There are so many things to do here, you will never be bored. We have several local restaurants that will keep you well fed.

Make some memories at this unique, family-friendly waterfront river cottage (approx. 1,700 sf)! Fish, relax in the hammocks, or soak in the hot tub overlooking the river. Kayaks and life jackets available upon request at no charge (life jackets required). Please note we have a video camera overlooking the driveway, stairway, and river bank below the cottage. This property has stairs to enter and many stairs down to the river bank, plus uneven floors inside. Please consider this before booking.

Although Watauga Lake is our main attraction, we are near a number of waterfalls, hiking trails, mountain biking trails and the shopping areas surrounding the Tri-Cities and Boone, NC.

Covered Bridge River Cottage

This River Cottage is about 15 minutes from the Bristol Motor Speedway. It will sleep up to 6 individuals. There is access to hiking, fishing (out you back door), antique shopping within minutes. The downtown of Elizabethton is a 5 minute walk. The Covered Bridge is the structure shown.
