Located directly on the seafront, the newly renovated fisherman’s cottage has stunning, uninterrupted views over the North Sea. Ideal for quiet getaways, Writer’s Retreat is the perfect spot to slow down & relax. Enjoy beautiful sea views from the open plan kitchen area, or cosy up infront of the logburning fire in our living area. Explore local seaside towns, with shops, pubs & local amenities on the doorstep.

Cosy country Scottish cabin

Recharge and connect with nature in our cosy cabin amongst silver birch trees. Feed the red squirrels and the woodpeckers and spot the pine martens, deer and badgers. BBQ by the Burn and just unwind. Alternatively surf at Sandend, follow the whisky trail, play golf on the stunning courses and fish locally. Immerse yourself in the many historical castles and ruins. Light the log burner, cook supper in the quirky kitchen and sleep peacefully in pure linen sheets. Hot water bottles provided!

Cosy Woodsman Hut nestled beside the forest

Escape to this cosy, well crafted forest hideaway, located just a few miles from the beautiful Moray Firth coastline. Whether you're snuggled in by the stove, outside cooking on the firepit or adventuring in the forest, you will be soaking in the views and nature at this idyllic glamping spot. The Hut is very well insulated and equipped with shower room (wc, basin and shower) and kitchenette (hob, stove top kettle, fridge & small freezer). A small wood burning stove sits central to the cabin.

The Old Merchant House, Portsoy Harbour

“The Old Merchant House” is a stunning, iconic, grade A listed property sitting immediately on the harbour front in Portsoy and is located on the Moray Firth coastal footpath and National Cycle Route 1. The property has a date stone of 1726 and was originally the home of Alexander (Laird) Brebner, a famous merchant and renowned smuggler. The house featured in the 2016 remake of the film "Whisky Galore". More recently the house featured prominently in the latest TV series of Peaky Blinders.

Portsoy is renowned for its acclaimed annual Scottish Traditional Boat Festival at the end of June. It's a great opportunity not to be missed!
