Entre sus instalaciones destaca la nueva terminal T3 que, además de haber renovado las instalaciones, cuenta con un gran intercambiador de transportes. El acceso a todas sus terminales es fácil, tanto en vehículo particular como utilizando los medios de transporte públicos que lo conectan con Málaga capital y otros importantes municipios de la provincia. También cuenta con un espacio dedicado a la aviación general, albergando vuelos de carácter privado. Todo el complejo dispone de una amplia y variada zona comercial. Para llegar al aeropuerto, podemos elegir las siguientes posibilidades : En coche Tanto desde la capital como desde el resto de la Costa del Sol, se llega a través de la autovía A-7 (E-15), o bien por la carretera nacional N-340, la cual discurre en varios tramos por la A-7.
