Grouseland's Pondside Vacation Cottage

Set about a quarter mile off the road, our pet friendly solar powered vacation cottage is a perfect getaway for anyone trying to spend some alone time with nature! Guests have complete privacy inside the cottage with a full kitchen, two TV's, Wi-Fi, and a mini split system for heating and cooling. As well as exclusive access to the hot tub, fire pit and pond outside! We also have various shared hiking trails through the woods surrounding the cottage for campers and cottage guests to enjoy!

There is a small deck, ideal for watching the deer and other wildlife. Close to the C&O Canal Rail Trail where you can enjoy walking or biking. Only 30 minutes from White Tail Ski Resort, Ft. Frederick, Rocky Gap Casino, Hagerstown and Cumberland. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet of country living in the newly renovated Tall Spruce Farmstead.

Enjoy the spacious open concept family room that meets the kitchen, or the large living room for quiet comfort. Four bedrooms, and a full bath upstairs and half bath downstairs. Perhaps just sit on one of the front porch rockers or by the fire pit in the evening. We do not allow pets at this property.

The outdoor fireplace/pit gazing at the stars is must see entertainment. This intimate getaway will provide for making wonderful memories in a scenic, relaxing location free from the bothers of normal life, with WIFI. Cottage can be used as a venue, pricing is then negotiable. No smoking!

The cottage sits on 2 wooded acres just 4 miles from JLG, 11 miles from Mercersburg Academy, and 6 miles from Cowan's Gap State Park. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle-boats, picnicking, hiking and more are available at the Park. We are also just 6 miles from the Goldfish Barn Event Center and 18 miles from Whitetail Ski Resort

Cottage in the Woods

This beautiful house was built with tranquility in mind. The wall of windows facing the woods, balconies opening from each bedroom, screened in side porch—all make it easy to take in the quiet natural setting in every season. PLEASE NOTE: For safety reasons, we strongly suggest adults only or children 14 and older. The steps are hardwood. The back of the house rests next to a ravine.
