Large windows and multiple lake front decks give way to the beautiful views of Lake Santeetlah and the Nantahala National Forest. The lake is open to boating and offers great fishing. Boat rentals are available across the lake. The property is located off Hwy 129 in close proximity to many of the areas scenic routes including: Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, and The Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Adventurers can explore nearby waterfalls, lakes, and hiking trails. Enjoy quiet surroundings, go fly fishing in Sweetwater Creek, and take in the cool mountain air on the covered porch or gather around the firepit.

Mountain Lake House [Kayaks & Paddleboards]

Welcome to PaddleFin! You will enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views from the large deck on the house and a deck close to the water. This is a peaceful retreat - cell phone service is not available or very limited, no Wi-Fi, and no TV service. We allow A MAXIMUM of 4 guests! There is one king bed and one queen bed. We currently have two kayaks (one single and one two-person), two paddleboards, and a canoe available for use by our guests. Paddles and life jackets are included.

Nestled in the smoky mountains of North Carolina this home is near the Nantahala Outdoor Center, the Tail of the Dragon, Santeetlah Lake and Fontana Lake. A great place to retreat to for peace and play.. This home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families and furry friends. The Portlandia Suite is a large 1 bedroom private apartment with full kitchen and full living room, fold out couch and full bath.

We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. In cooler weather, snuggle up by the fire with a good book. Lake Santeetlah is nestled in the mountains of NC, and 80% of the coastline is national forest. The famous Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, beautiful Lake Santeetlah, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Appalachian Trail, Fontana Lake, Bryson City , Nantahala, Harris Cherokee and Valley River Casinos are all just a short drive (30-45 min.).
