Very close to amenities and the beaches but tucked away this is a very peaceful place to stay. Its particularly sheltered from coastal wind and inclement weather. Mason Canyon is considered one of the most sheltered vallys on the island. There are two homes on the property but sufficiently far apart that it feels private.

Superbly located on Harpoon Hill, Whangaparapara and 15 min from Claris Village and Airport, the Whaler’s Cottage is a unique property in a magical setting. There's a caretaker who will open up the house and ensure all is running well prior to your stay (and is contactable during your stay).
