This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Misty Mountain Cabin

My place is close to great views and plenty of wildlife. It is great for romantic getaways or exploring the rainforest to see birds, platypus in the creek at Broken River or just to hang out. The name "Eungella" means "land of cloud" so when you wake up in the morning you will likely be surrounded by thick cooling cloud which clears by about 9am to a beautiful sunny day with the wildlife just waiting to be discovered! Eungella is over an hour from Mackay.

Mena Creek Flower House, "Green Acres"

Set on 40 Private acres, this modern cabin has a separate air-cond bedroom with k/size bed. Fully equipped kitchen, lounge with sofa that converts to a d/bed for extra guests. Large bathroom, covered deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, smart TV,netfix. Just a 100 meter stroll to beautiful South Mission Beach and close access to coastal walking tracks and rainforest trails. Our simple, comfy retro shack has everything you need for a chilled out beachside stay. You can even bring your boat, there's plenty of room for a boat trailer on our block and river and beach boat ramps close by.

"The Billabong"

Mac,and Gaynor , invite you to stay at the cabin overlooking the "Billabong" in our private bush acreage. You can meet our resident families of kangaroos and wallabys, also all the birds. Relax on the deck while you plan your next adventure. For you boaties, we have a parking area for your trailer boat, and a few hot offshore marks. the Billabong has a dog friendly area. The Billabong is not suitable for infants, toddlers or children.

Rainforest Cabin

Cosy self-contained cabin set amongst the rainforest. Close to bike path/walkway, pizzeria and laundromat. 2 minute drive to the Supermarket and Bottle Shop. Complimentary tea/coffee provided.
