Aurora Horizon Retreat

A quiet and peaceful getaway with amazing ocean views. Located in the beautiful fjord called “Hvalfjörður”. Only a 45 minute drive from the capital. The interior was completely renovated in 2024. You can relax in the hot tub and enjoy amazing views of the horizon during the summer and you might see the northern lights during the winter. It's a perfect location for day trips to discover the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the silver circle and it's not far from the golden circle either.

Húsið er gamalt en allt ný tekið í gegn. Á svefnloftinu er 2 góðar dýnur (brattur stigi upp). Bjart og fallegt. Stutt á flugvöllinn, u.þ.b. 10 mínútur ( 9 km. ), og góð sundlaug í Sandgerði ( 2 km.)

Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. On the ground floor is a joint kitchen/living room includes a microwave and a dishwasher. The kitchen view is the sea itself. The cabins are located in a remote area 15 minutes from Keflavik International Airport. The setting is on the Atlantic coastline so you can expect a nourishing breeze. All cabins come with a private hot tub. Cabins suit you well if you want to lay back & relax in nature. There is no light pollution around the cabins so it‘s a great place to see the Aurora borealis.
