We are certain Wally could never have imagined the potential the little house held. Be amazed at the awesome decor. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed, other with twin over full and a stunning bathroom. The showstopper is the beautiful living/ kitchen area with glowing tin ceIlings. There’s everything to ensure your wanting to stay longer or return soon.

The Roost

1930's Limestone chicken house converted to a cabin. 1/4 mile off a paved highway. Interior space is 46 feet x 11 feet, with sloping ceiling. Tiled shower with built in seat.(No tub.) Fully appointed kitchen. Beautiful views of the Smoky Hills. Several acres of native grassland with running stream to explore. Deer, turkey, bird watching, and other wildlife. If you are going walking, wear appropriate footwear. See the stars without city lights and enjoy the unbelievable quiet.

#1 - North Fork Horse Ranch - King bed

North Fork Ranch offers a relaxing atmosphere with the scenic beauty of rural Kansas. The overnight accommodations offer a quiet getaway where travelers can relax in the comfort of their air-conditioned/heated rustic room in the loft of the ranch barn. The backyard view is memorizing with gently rolling hills, abundant wildlife, and wide-open spaces. Room amenities include free parking, free internet, Netflix, and a private entrance to the room with a private bathroom.

Cozy Farmhouse Cottage

Right off highway 24. Vintage reminders throughout this cozy farmhouse of a simpler time. A kitchen to please any cook! Enjoy a quiet moment on the old front porch. Lots of parking! Can accommodate large trailers. A touch of western lore, located midway between Denver and Kansas City and situated on the Solomon river valley. This house is stocked with amenities Grocery 2 blocks away. 3 TV’s, WIFI and Roku. Ceiling fans and floor fans for your comfort.

The Farm

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Ranch has Amazing sunsets, views, and long driveway to take it all in. We are close to I-70, Little Jerusalem, Castle Rock, & Monument Rocks! This is a WORKING Ranch; there will be cattle and ranch hands present depending on the time of year. Please DO NOT APPROACH the cattle, enter any space where they are present including pens, and allow the ranch hands to work safely without interruption.

1886 Loft Book entire space

This unique loft has a style all of its own. Built in 1886, the loft was an apartment back in the day and has been vacant since the 50's. It has been completely renovated and restored in 2023. Saving all the original doors and trim, modern updates were made throughout. Located in the heart of downtown Oakley, it is an excellent choice to base out of and explore northwest Kansas. Downstairs space often has pop up food vendors as an added benefit.

The Cabin

The Cabin is located in the small, rural town of Brewster, just off Interstate 70 between Colby and Goodland. It is furnished with a double bed and futon on the lower level and a twin bed in the loft. The loft is accessible via a pull-down ladder. A mini-fridge, Keurig, and microwave available. No wifi or TV, a playground nearby, three blocks from a small grocery store that serves meals, but the days and times vary with the seasons.

Grandma's House

Grandma's House. Entire house is available; Three bedroom house; 4 Queen size beds. Fully functional kitchen, BBQ grill available as well. House located in the heart of Pheasant Hunting Country! We do allow dogs, but ask they not stay in bedrooms. TV, DVD, WIFI, Roku available. NEW HEATING AND AIR INSTALLED spring 2023 Morland is a sleepy and relaxing little town, there is The Office (bar), and Morland Mercantile.

High Plains Hideaway
