Perched along the shores of picturesque Sawyer Lake, the Fox Den offers fishing, and water-sports friendly waters. A nature lovers delight, unique birds frequent the property. Evening campfires offer broad clear views of the Milky Way. This quaint property offers use of an on-site dock that can accommodate a pontoon or a boat. There is a boat launch at the adjacent park. Sawyer lake is known for excellent fishing and no watercraft restrictions. In colder seasons warm up by the wood stove.

Winter months include accessing snowmobile trails from your front door, nearby downhill and cross country ski venues and snowshoeing. Curl up by a crackling fire at days end. Spring brings day trips to beautiful waterfalls. Fall brings hunting to mind. Plenty of wooded areas for bird and deer hunting.

This Charming Quaint Cabin sits on a private island, off the beaten path. Surrounded by nature and with panoramic views of the quiet picturesque lake, you'll find the stresses of the hustle and bustle fade away. Start your morning off with the sun rising over the lake with a cup of coffee on the front deck, then set out on trails or kayaking, canoeing or even some fishing, then end your day around the fire pit. Come and enjoy the beauty I grew up with on the Michigamme River in Michigan's gorgeous Upper Peninsula. Spend your time on the property reading a book and soaking in the view, or enjoy a short trip to a nearby lake for kayaking, fishing or boating. In the winter months, Republic is a hub for snowmobilers with easy access to trails leading in any direction.

The Cedar Cabin at Pinecrest Northwoods

This 100 year old hand hewn log cabin is perched up on a bluff which looks out over Juncob Lake on one side, and The Michigamme River on the other. The top of the bluff offers a nice open area for admiring the lake, hammocking, stargazing, or a lawn game. Out the back entrance of the cabin there is a small system of trails to take you on a short hike along the Michigamme, or, you can stay inside and enjoy a warm beverage cozied up by the wood burning fireplace!

Little Bear Basic Getaway

This little house with starklink internet is a great starting point to explore the outdoors while staying connected. Nearby you'll find the Michigamme river (swim, kayak, and fish), the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, and other trails (walking, biking, sxs, and snowmobile) disc golf course, parks, great hunting, wildlife, and museums. A hardware store (premium gas), convince store, local bar (The Pine Grove), and diner (Summer Place) are great places to support in town.
