The Pearl of Whakatiwai

The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

The Rimu Hut - Cosy Bush Escape

A tramping-style A-frame chalet nestled against rimu trees on the edge of a stunning 15-acre native forest block close to the Hunua Ranges in rural South Auckland. Built by the owners using macrocarpa timber grown on the property, it was intended to be a place where their grandchildren could enjoy sleepovers in the forest and afternoon adventures. They soon realised though, that such a special place should be shared so they decided to make it available to others. Cosy in winter, cool in summer!

Hereford Cottage

Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Enjoy a night or a couple of nights here with us.

Karaka Rural Guest House

Private guest suite separated from the main house by a shared laundry area. A spacious sunny living area, a modern fully equipped kitchen, complete with oven, hobs, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The lounge has a heat pump to keep you cosy (or cool), Sky TV, rural wireless internet & the home is double glazed. There are 2 Double bedrooms complete with brand new furnishings, K & Q beds. As well as a deck area, including outdoor table. The setting is beautiful, private and comfortable.

We may have flexibility with check in and check out times, just check with us the availability. 45 minutes from Auckland Airport and CBD, and 3–6 minutes’ drive to Hunua Falls, Kokako Lodge Camp, Hunua Falls Camp, and YMCA Camp Adair. Close to the café, supermarket, and gas station—perfect for getaways, outdoor adventures, or attending local camps.

Studio is attached to main house, has its own entrance and private outdoor area . Off street parking. Semi -rural with easy access to both Nth & Sth motorways. Approx 2.5 kms to village.. 25kms from Airport. No public transport so you do need a vehicle. If needed can provide a single airbed and port a cot .

Originally an implement shed the 'The Tiny House' has been recently renovated into a magical luxury retreat....only 35 mins from downtown Auckland, 20 minutes from the airport. Expect to see endless countryside, rural animals, ponds, native bush while sitting in the wooden hot tub soaking it all in and watching the sunset. Expect to have peace and serenity ...the perfect escapism from the city and work stress... you will never regret it! Winter or summer you will be delighted.

A peaceful , private , luxuriously appointed replica of an original NZ Settler's cottage located in the heart of Karaka. Lovely spaces to take advantage of both morning and afternoon sun, stunning gardens and view , a tennis court and swimming pool . Spacious Italian tiled bathroom with walk in rain shower and luxury toiletries. A separate dressing room . Gloriously comfortable Sealy Crown Jewel Bed with Frette linen , and a pillow selection. Fully equipped designer kitchen.

The West Wing at Haven Villa Our Piece of Paradise

Welcome to the West Wing! We live in an old villa on 2 acres of lawn and garden. Near the main house but not attached to it we have our guest house. We have decorated it in keeping with it’s history but with all modern conveniences including Sky TV. We have a comfy king bed in the studio part with a double bed upstairs in the gorgeous retro attic. The upstairs bed is suitable for a smaller couple or a single person or child. We have a lovely, well equipped kitchen.

The Bus Depot.

The Bus Depot is a rustic retreat overlooking the beautiful firth of Thames. A beautifully restored 1979 Bedford bus which has all the modern comforts but still retains original features of the bus, this area has sleeping for two along with kitchen area, fridge, gas stove and a dining area on the covered deck. From the daybed to the loft space or going for a walk on the farm or just sitting in front of the fire you can enjoy the views at this outstanding location.
