This story could have started in the 40's, but we'll start in the 60's when this tiny cabin was local housing to graduate students at Duke. Wonderfully located and unlike anything else this close to Duke University or downtown Durham, the Green Door cabin welcomes you for the weekend or week. Fully renovated recently while keeping the charm intact. You can feel as isolated as you want with every amenity within just a couple of miles. Duke Forest Trails and Duke CC Trail within walking distance.

Remodeled from salvaged materials on the farm, this bunkhouse features a full kitchen, bathroom with roomy bedroom and living room. Relax on the porch or roast marshmallows by the firepit. You can take a stroll through the Christmas trees, by the pond and in the spring and summer, through our U-pick flower patch.

"Forest Garden" A One Bedroom Retreat

A 600 s.f. cottage retreat designed by Robert Phillips. One bedroom, full bath and kitchen, and spacious living room. Ten ft. ceilings and fine architectural details; terraced; fountains nestled in a tree grove on 10 acres with foot paths. 15-20 minutes to Chapel Hill/Carrboro, University of North Carolina; Pittsboro and the Saxapahaw arts community on the Haw River. The space is a fully furnished apartment in an adorable stone cabin with one queen bedroom, kitchen, full bath, laundry, high speed Wi-Fi, and outdoor hot tub. Come get away from it all—while conveniently close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a renovated tobacco barn with a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom (with a shower and composting toilet), and living area. Meet the pigs and chickens. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls. During June and July u-pick blueberries will be available for harvest for $3.50/lbs.

You'll feel like you're getting away from it all in this modern, private tiny house in the trees (even though you're minutes from Duke, and downtown Durham, and loads of shopping and restaurants). All the right amenities are here - full kitchen, laundry, A/C, and high-speed internet - but don't be surprised if you find yourself opting to relax in the swing on the screened-in porch while you soak in the sounds of the birds and the trees instead.
