Kyomachiya Momo is an entire house making it the perfect place to stay for families or small groups. Quiet, convenient location with easy access by public transportation to Nijō Castle, Kiyomizu temple， Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari and more. Our inn is a traditional townhouse built 123 years ago with Yukimi-mado, tokonoma (alcove), fusuma , tatami mats,and tsuboniwa. Relax in this quiet and comfortable home. As featured on the NYTimes T list, this property is a "Kyomachiya", a traditional Japanese home over 100 years old. It has been revamped from a "Nishijin-ori" (traditional Japanese textile) factory. It is located in the traditional Kamigyo Ward, minutes walk from the Imperial Palace. We collaborated with award winning architects at Ikken to renovate this space, which now accommodates the comforts of modern life, while retaining many of the original structure and elements from its past.

Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.

'SAIGU' is a distinctly quaint 120-year-old Kyoto Machiya in the north-west area of Kyoto city. In 2010, the house was carefully and lovingly restored to its original beautiful style. It has four bedrooms so can accommodate 4 people comfortably, or 8 people max. The house is about 92 square meters.
