Set in the Slieve Blooms Mountains a real get away from it all, wake up to birdsong and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. Surrounded by fields, trees there's plenty to do for an outdoor break. Slieve Bloom Bike trails and hiking tracks all within minutes. Mid Ireland base for onward touring. Portlaoise, Tullamore and Roscrea less than 30 minute drive. Kilkenny under an hour. Cork, Shannon and Dublin airports under 2 hours. Ideal base for biking or walking groups to explore the area.

Riverside Cottage

Find your home away from home in our quaint cottage nestled between the River Barrow and The Grand Canal. Take a stroll or cycle along the famous 46km stretch of The Barrow Blueway or cast your fishing rod into the world of coarse fishing on the Grand Canal. Why not take a walk into town across the Aqueduct and visit some of our favourites such as Mooneys & Brennans or snuggle up to a log burning stove. The local Kids playground is a 5 minute stroll away should the kids need some play time.

Villa Jokubas The Jungle

Located 5 minutes from heritage town Abbeyleix in co. Laois is Villa Jokubas a log cabin village set on a hill overlooking surrounding countryside. All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. Be treated with all modern luxuries inside and outside, enjoy expansive yard, covered patio areas with private modern hot tubs, "Kamado" BBQ grills, fully stocked bar with taps of our home brewed IPA beer. We charge €25 for hottub or sauna for one use. 2 person per cabin only.

The Lacka Lodge - Kinnitty

Nestled within the Slieve Bloom mountains, Lacka Lodge is new to the market and has recently undergone complete refurbishment. It is situated on the grounds of our family home where peace and tranquility come naturally to this area.Kinnitty is in the heart of Ireland and is little over an hour from Dublin and Galway. It is a day trip from all other cities. Locally you can enjoy fantastic walking and mountain bike trails which are only one minute away and also lead you to Kinnitty Castle.

The Lodge @ Hushabye Farm
