This unique place has a style all its own. Located a few blocks from Hickory’s Union Square, this 1930’s bungalow offers convenient access to the Downtown shops and restaurants with the serenity and privacy of its enclosed garden yard which includes an outdoor cabana shower, patio and rock fire pit. There is a full laundry, dedicated den / office with walk-in closet. Queen bed in the master with twin beds in the second bedroom. Enjoy the large front porch with porch swing and sidewalk access.

Mountain modern Carriage House downtown Morganton

The Carriage House and city of Morganton have power and are ready visitors. This guest house sits behind a historic home in downtown Morganton. The 1920s structure has restored original finishes : a claw foot tub, vintage bathroom sink, and farm house sink in the kitchen. Downstairs features original wood bead board ceilings. Upstairs the ceiling was removed to expose the roof and beams. Two fireplaces keep it cozy - you'll have a lovely place relax and listen to the rain on the metal roof.

All bed linens, towels, and cooking utensils are provided. Coffee, spices and cooking oils ready for your use. Wood burning stove, AC/heat pump. Firewood is included. Outside includes a porch with a NEW roof, hot tub and fire pit.

Riverside Cabin on 33 acres

Enjoy your peaceful mountain escape on our 33 acres. We have over a half mile of hatchery supported trout streams to fish (with a stocking point on the property), swimming holes, and private trails located directly on the property. Or with just a 2 minute drive up the road you can be in the South Mountains state park to take some local hikes to some awesome places like the watershed lake. Lake James and the Linville Gorge are only 20 minutes away, Asheville 45 minutes, and Charlotte only an hour. Explore countless waterfalls, miles of trails, or kayak our beautiful rivers during the day, and relax in the hot tub and shoot pool in the evening.
