If not so ambitious, enjoy a day of sight seeing, exploring local beaches, snuggle up by the fireplace. Or, better yet, grab a blanket and stargaze on the private patio with propane fireplace and roast marshmallows. Come stay in our new lovely above ground basement suite. We live above with our 3 young kids and noise should be expected between 8am-11pm. This probably isn't for you if you're looking for a serene, romantic getaway. It's comfortable, A/C, has a fabulous view, is centrally located for island adventures. Nestled in gorgeous hillside, space for outdoor gear, kitchen with induction cooktop, private laundry, Wifi etc. Adjacent to another AirBNB suite and not suitable for kids. Hope to see you soon!

The best accesses for entry to the water are just a short walk away also. This is a large 2 room suite in our home completely self contained for privacy. Self check in with designated parking spot for you. We are hosts on site if you need anything. We are located between Nanaimo and Parksville, 15 min. either way.

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
