The Little Green Guest House

We picked the perfect location for exploring New River Gorge! We actually live here and LOVE it. Over the last 2 years, we completely rebuilt this Little Guest House from the ground up while exploring and putting together the local's ultimate guidebook of the area. Our goal was to make a cozy and cute cottage to highlight why we love WV so much. We strive for eco-friendly practices because we want to see this place clean and thriving for our kids and visitors to enjoy for years to come.

Make some memories and get sorted in the tiny great hall, camp out at the cup, sleep in a common room, head for the magical candy shop, and solve the puzzles in the herbology themed escape room! Small details abound from the familiar characters in portraits to the potions cabinet, the car in the tree, the Lumos & Nox switches, & much more. All just outside the New River Gorge National Park! Secluded Yurt in the Heart of the New River Gorge

Situated only 3 miles from downtown Fayetteville and within 15 min of trails, rivers, and climbing, this idyllic space makes you feel like you are in your own little ecotopia. The yurt is nestled on 8 acres surrounded by gardens and the forest. It is built eco-friendly complete with a composting toilet which is incredibly easy to use. Large windows are situated to allow natural sunlight and cross breezes and the dome in the center of the roof lets you sleep under the stars at night.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape at Molly Moocher, a tiny house nestled among boulders in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. 7 minutes from the Gauley River and Summersville lake. 19 minutes to the New River National Park. Located on 100 private acres with hiking trails. Relax in the hot tub or at the boulder-top fire pit. My wife and I live locally. The Gauley River Treehouse

Enjoy your time in the trees! Hear the white water rapids of the Gauley from our front deck as you take in the scenic views of the forest. Truly, a one of a kind experience. Our treehouse is located in Boulder Trail, which is on over 100 acres of private land. It also includes a common area with a covered shelter, with an outdoor Fireplace that’s a short walk away. We are located 5 minutes from Summersville Lake and 15 minutes from New River Gorge National Park!

When visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, stay at this quaint stone cottage less than a mile off of Route 19 in downtown Oak Hill, WV. Things to Note: This little cottage has skylights upstairs, so light floods into this space from sunrise to sundown. Also, the mattress is firm. Finally, the hot water is provided via a tankless hot water heater, which has been known to cause water temperature variability.
