Escape to our modern private cabin with stunning ocean and bush views, just 2 minutes from central Paihia. Filled with natural light, it features a Queen bed, double bed-settee, en-suite bathroom, microwave, toaster, jug, coffee plunger, and bedside lamps with 10W wireless charging. Relax on the large north-facing sunny deck furniture, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and listen for kiwis calling at night Easy boat parking with ample space available. Maximum 2 adults & 2 children over 2 years.

Sea View cabin 8min, walk to beach

This is a 1 bedroom cabin with a queen. Duvet and pillows. There is also a pullout sofa bed. It is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is run on gas and solar power. There is no TV or microwave. Leave behind your hair dryer and hair straighteners and enjoy the privacy, peace and view. There is a BBQ available. Linen can be provided for a fee. 1st 2 guests are $100 per night then $10 per head per night after that. We are happy to provide a tent for kids to sleep in out on the lawn.

Relax watching the endless stars from the outdoor bath or enjoy reading a book and glass of wine snuggled on the couch. Only an hour from Auckland’s north shore, the seven acre property comprises of two separate residences - the farmhouse and the cabin, each with its own separate driveway and amenities.

Tara Valley Cabin

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with lights, decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Magic Cottage - Romantic Chic Waterfront Seclusion

The ultimate romantic retreat! Secluded Magic Cottage, with its stunning water views, is perched on the banks of the peaceful Takou River, hidden beneath ancient Pohutukawa trees. The romantic cabin has a relaxing outdoor claw foot bath overlooking the river; wrap around decks, 5 acres of sub-tropical gardens to explore; a private jetty and boathouse, deserted sandy beaches a short paddle downstream; and 150 acres of organic farmland, native bush and river to fish, swim, kayak and explore.

Waiotoi - The Bush Hideaway - Tutukaka

Enjoy the tranquil and serene environment of the bush, which provides you with a stay that is guaranteed to refresh you. Waiotoi is perched on a lone ridge, which weaves its way towards the coast. The cabin is surrounded by a thick cloak of Manuka which covers the hillsides, giving you a beautiful view out onto the canopy, and beyond, towards the South Pacific. Just admire the natural beauty of the coast, through the bush to Matapouri, it's a slice of paradise, and a rewarding experience.

Tui Bush Cabin

Take a short drive (approx 3kms) up the valley from Ngunguru to Tui Bush Cabin. This is where you can relax amongst the native bush, and listen to the tui's chatter from dawn till dusk. Our beautiful small wooden cabin comprises of a fitted kitchen with a 4 burner gas hob, convection microwave, toaster, jug, refrigerator and sink. A drop leaf table and chair. A double bed with sheets and duvet. Separate bathroom with flush toilet, basin and shower. Outside decking with table and chairs.

Moonrise was inspired by the movies of Wes Anderson. You will find it down a private country road in a garden filled with many birds who visit from the bush and nearby wetlands. At night the sky is full of stars. We have carefully crafted the cabins to provide a quirky off grid life and a tranquil experience where you can recharge in nature, read or play boardgames. The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.

It has a large open plan living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Its double glazing, full insulation, heat pump/aircon and mosquito screens make this self standing cottage the perfect base to explore all the amazing sights the Bay of Islands has to offer.
