BIO is a part of a complex called “KITA-no-Kita-Nagaya” has realized a new method for reusing old wooden houses. This is a newly renovated old Japanese house, a middle-class residence built in 1929 and renovated in 2017. It is a legal accommodation permitted by the city of Osaka. Located in the southern part of Osaka, a very quiet residential area. 10 minutes away from the nearest subway station, Kishinosato. It is easy to reach Namba, Umeda by subway, KIX and Koyasan by Nankai Railway. The 7-11 convenience store is one minute away. The Sento public bath is also very close to my house.

Alchemy | 80-year Machiya Reimagined

This is the first of our 「Alchemy」 series: where history is not erased, but transformed. This private townhouse fuses preserved architectural details with bold modern design. Original timber beams, handwritten marks from 80 years ago, and a repurposed milk box key station hint at its past, while a suspended hammock, garden-view bath, and layered lighting reframe it for the present. 「Alchemy」 is for travelers who seek more than comfort: a sense of story and inspiration.

「京都のお宿侘助」は京阪清水五条駅より徒歩5分の1棟貸の町家です。

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.
