This historic home built in 1884 has been completely renovated with loving care by a granddaughter with fond memories of magical times at her grandparents' unique home. With ten foot ceilings and beautiful craftsmanship, this spacious downstairs unit provides a master suite with a king sized bed and a big screen TV, a large kitchen, a queen bedroom, access to a large private back yard and plenty of parking. The second treehouse here, you will find in this Beach house inspired creation. This treehouse is a full 3 story!, 700 sq foot!, features a large sectional sofa in the A Frame inspired first floor, half bath, kitchen area with all the amenities, 2nd story master suite, with half bath, and outdoor shower on adjoining deck, and a 3rd level treetop sleeping loft!

Oakbrook Akers Lakeside Cabin Retreat

Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the dock to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

Burton’s Hideaway

This relaxing getaway is welcoming to individuals and families. You can golf into the lake, feed the fish, just sit and relax listening to the fountain or play games inside. This walkout basement has a patio for you to enjoy. The kitchen is loaded with many amenities for those who want to cook or bake. Warm and welcoming place to stay! Disclosure- This is a commercial space. Very rarely are people there after 5:00 on weekdays or weekends. You'll have your own parking and private entry.

Our home sits on 7 quiet acres including a pond. We are conveniently located between Macomb and Rushville with a 15 minute drive to either community or 20 minutes to the WIU campus in Macomb. Enjoy the quiet country setting with a walk around the pond, taking in beautiful sunsets and bright stars at night. Deer passing through is not an unusual sight!
