Big Beef Spit is a five-minute walk away. A neighboring guest house and caretaker’s cottage are also both available for rent. **Please note that the loft bedroom gets chilly during cold weather.

A perfect cozy winter retreat, you are right on the low bank waterfront of a private lagoon, & the Hood Canal, surrounded by woods. Outdoor amenities abound, with a pickleball court, 2 paddleboards, rowboat, & firepits at the beach & lagoon. Enjoy a scenic 1 hour drive to Olympic National Park, or watch for porpoises, otters and the resident bald eagles from the couch.

He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Huckleberry Cabin is a cozy one room cabin with a king bed, porch, electric fireplace & mountain views, just minutes from Olympic National Forest trailheads. Explore Quilcene Bay and Big Quilcene Estuary for kayaking, clam digging, and sunsets. Historic Port Townsend is only 30 minutes away for dining, shopping, and galleries. Perfect peaceful nature escape with easy access to adventure and nearby attractions. The entrance to the Olympic National Park is a 55 minute drive from the cabin.

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. This property may prove challenging for individuals with mobility issues. **Pricing is discounted due to ongoing improvements. Tools and materials are kept out of sight, but you may notice some unfinished details. Due to continued progress, appearance may vary.

Linger Longer Cottage

At the Linger Longer Cottage you'll discover a really adorable, fully furnished 2 bedroom + loft (due to some safety issues, the loft is not available for use at this time), with easy beach access to enjoy the Hood Canal and Quilcene Bay all within minutes to enjoy the wonder of the Olympics. Just a walk around the owner's home provides direct beach access to beautiful Quilcene Bay on Hood Canal. A quarter of a mile south of here there is a boat launch. Come enjoy this gem today!
