Shannon Cottage (summer)

Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.

The Treehouse, Raetihi, in the Ruapehu region

The Treehouse is set in grounds of our Villa in Raetihi in the Ruapehu region, it sits on stilts amongst the trees, with a walk way for ease of access. A warm well insulated room with comfortable king size bed, around the deck to the shower, toilet and out door bath. Enjoy a wonderful relax in the bath with bubbles and a choice of fairy lights or the vastness of a starlit sky. All linen provided. Gas hot water. All water is town supply. Enjoy peace the tranquility. WIFI details in the room.

Ruapehu Railway Cottage

The Ruapehu Railway Cottage is a cosy 2-bedroom Ohakune bach. This historic, charming 100-year-old cottage overlooks the Ohakune Railway Station and is a short walk from the Junction restaurants and the closest road to Tūroa ski field. Stay warm in front of our toasty wood burner after an epic day up the mountain. This is an ideal base for your next ski getaway! Additionally, relish its superb summer location, offering excellent proximity to walks, bike tracks, and refreshing river swims.

Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

Pack the ski gear and head to your family home away from home at the foot of Mt Ruapehu. This modern 3-bedroom home has stunning mountain views from the open-plan living area and expansive deck. After a big day on the slopes, sink into the outdoor spa pool under the stars, then warm up by the fireplace and melt into the feather-filled sofas. The drying room means wet gear is warm and ready for morning. Quiet neighbourhood, one acre of space, 15-min walk or 1-min drive to Ohakune town.

Kowhai Haven

Bring the whole family to this new home with beautiful views of the countryside and Mt Ruapehu. There is a cycleway directly outside, easy access to the 'Manawhero River' Walking Track and a 1 minute drive to either the centre of town or the base of Mount Ruapehu. The house offers an open plan living area flowing to a large mountain facing deck. Two bathrooms with a dedicated drying area, perfect for adventure filled weekends. Off street parking for up to 2 vehicles. Linen provided.

Waireka Apartment

Waireka Apartment, situated in Ohakune in the Ruapehu District is a self contained 2 bedroom apartment each with a queen size bed, a large lounge with mountain views, kitchen and own spa pool. Spa Pool operates from 10am to 10pm Cleaning on departure is included in the rate. This charming 1920’s home is newly renovated with trendy yet minimalist design for a stylish and comfortable stay - fully insulated with double-glazed windows. It offers 2 good-sized bedrooms, modern kitchen, spacious bathroom with heated floor and laundry space. A minute walk to the town’s cafes and pick-up points to Tongariro Alpine Crossing. A great place to recharge or use as a base to explore both Mount Ruapehu and Whanganui river region, and surrounding area.

Alpine Bach - with Spa and separate Games Room

This bach is our happy place. Sat on 1/2 an acre it's an easy walk to central Ohakune's restaurants/bars/cafes and the supermarket. After walking, snowboarding, skiing or mountain biking relax on the deck or in the spa with a view to Mount Ruapehu. When you are ready for more action go to the games room for darts, pool or foosball. Both the bach and games room have heat pumps and TVs and of course there is wifi, plenty of parking, and a drying room.

The Tree House with hot tub @ Wood Pigeon Lodge

The Tree House is set on a small hill in the tree tops, requiring being able to climb multiple steps for access through the bush. At the top you receive stunning views of the surrounding forest. This eco house generates its own electricity and is designed to capture the sun. The two person wood fired hot tub is the perfect way to relax after a day skiing or climbing the Tongariro Crossing.

KUBO : FantailSuite [Self-Contained Hilltop Haven]

Gazing over the Ruapehu plateau, KUBO is our little house on a hill with the private Fantail Suite — a tranquil haven where time slows, and nature feels close. Enjoy coffee in the lounge at sunrise, watch golden sunsets from the deck, or stargaze under clear mountain skies. Between Tongariro and Whanganui National Parks, it’s close to ski fields, hiking, and biking trails. NO CLEANING FEE.
