The Wind Mill

Beautifully located in hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean sits the Marinhas windmill. The windmill dates from the year 1758 and was built in the traditional northern Portuguese style with circular walls, two floors, an entrance on the grown floor and two windows on the upper floor. It is classified as a municipal heritage building. The mill is 130 meters above sea level thus providing a breathtaking view over the towns and ocean and a unique retreat for the more adventurous guest.

Por favor, ler a descrição: T2 em primeiro andar de moradia na localidade de Rio Caldo- Gerês. Acesso à praia fluvial (Praia da Barca). Cozinha equipada, churrasqueira, lençóis e atoalhados. Wifi. Ar condicionado (por este motivo não disponibilizámos lenha para a lareira). Como se trata de um apartamento numa moradia com vários espaços, o exterior pode ser usado como passagem por outras pessoas. No entanto, há mesa e cadeiras exteriores para uso exclusivo dos hóspedes.

Welcome to our cozy two-story home by the lake! We’ve kept the charming granite façade typical of the region, while the interior is clean, comfortable, and fully equipped for a relaxing stay. Located in the heart of Peneda-Gerês National Park, you’ll have access to scenic hikes, thermal baths, and breathtaking nature. Just 1 hour from Braga and 90 minutes from Porto. P.S. The stairs to the bedroom are steep and not recommended for guests with reduced mobility.
