With Kate's background as a professional Dancer and Choreographer-turned-Director, and Shimmy's background as a Creative in advertising, a few years back we started our own boutique production company called Safety Third. Project after project brought us out to the desert and we completely fell in love with this special little corner of the world. We got engaged in Joshua Tree National Park and married in the low desert, and now we've created a little getaway: The Desert Door, for those who need a bit of space to reflect, relax, explore and connect. Location, convenience and streamlined simplicity are most important to us. As we live and work on the road, we strive to create environments which are as comfortable as they are accommodating.
