Great for just walking around and browsing through the shops. When you are there, you must eat at The Provision Company. Right on the water, not fancy, but it's the hottest spot in Southport. Plan to wait 30-60 mins minimally, but it's worth it. You can drink beers while you wait and it's on the honor system! Yes, at the end of your meal you tell them how many beers you grabbed from the fridges during your time there. Make sure the weather is nice for Southport.

It’s true. It can pour down rain for ten minutes and be gorgeous the rest of the day so watch the forecasts.

Wilmington. It’s a good 30 minutes away, but if you wanna get off the island for a day, it’s very nice. It’s all riverfront shops and restaurants. You can take a small boat tour, have ice cream or eat at any of the restaurants.
