Transportation
You can find Uber and taxis very easily around the metropolitan area.If you are headed out of the metro area, including to the rainforest, I suggest renting a car. You might be able to find transportation to your destination, but might not be able to find a ride back

El Yunque National Rainforest
El Yunque rainforest is about a 45 minute drive from Isla Verde. They allow a certain amount of vehicles inside the park and may close down the entrance if it reaches maximum occupancy. I recommend to rent a car, as Ubers are very scarce around the rainforest.

Beaches and ocean currents
The San Juan area has some breathtaking beaches, but be vigilant with the strong currents. Being the north side of the island, beaches tend to have higher waves than the west and south side. Red flags indicate that the beach is not apt for swimming. The Condado Beach specifically has strong under currents and will always have a red flag advisory
