Originally built as a bordello and saloon. In the 1920s, it served as a speakeasy. When the great fire swept the city after the 1906 earthquake, homes were put to the torch on Van Ness Avenue to create a firebreak, and the Saloon not only survived, it served as a refuge for the newly post-quake homeless.

It’s perfect for both short and longer stays, and gives you a tranquil space to unwind and relax. The vaulted ceilings and open floor plan make this space feel bright and airy.

One single capsule bed inside a four bed male shared dormitory room. Each bed is in a private capsule with pull down privacy blind, built-in lighting, fan, charging station, and reading light. Linens and towels provided, as well as daily tidy up service and disinfecting of surfaces.
