Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

From the garden there are stairs to access a river beach, perfect for cooling off in the summer months! *Please note: we have a cat who lives here too.

Welcome to our charming chalet, nestled in a beautiful country estate on the shores of the Aguieira Reservoir. A peaceful adults-only retreat for up to 4 guests. The chalet features a living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and an upstairs suite with river views, a panoramic bathroom, and a private balcony. Guests also enjoy shared outdoor areas, while the chalet remains your private space. We welcome a maximum of 6 guests on the entire property.

Voor kinderen is er genoeg te doen zoals schommelen, skelteren, trampoline springen, kanoën en natuurlijk zwemmen! Op het terrein lopen 3 enthousiaste, vriendelijke honden, poezen en kippen. De oprit van het terrein is onverhard en hobbelig, maar prima te doen met een gewone auto.
