A mile and a half back in the woods you will hear nothing but the calming sounds of nature. The Fire Tower is ideal for a couple whom is looking for a break and some much needed relaxation. Complimenting the Fire Tower is a King Sized bed, sound system, Satellite TV, kitchenette, garden tub/ Rain Fall Shower, Gas Grille, Hot tub and SO MUCH MORE!

Tiny glamping cabin with mineral spring hot tub

This off grid, alternative powered site is located towards the front of a large twelve acre estate, alongside a flowing brook. Elevated over a natural spring that flows year round, the Japanese inspired aesthetics of this private, tiny cabin sits perched atop a deck among the wooded trees overlooking the waterway the mineral spring feeds, but not before filling the in-ground, cedar lined, two person, bubbling hot tub heated with a wood burning stove. One of two glamping sites on the 12 acres.

A magical stroll through the woods leads to the suspension bridge. You won't believe you're only minutes from town. Wear appropriate shoes as it is a short 2-minute hike to the tree house. At times, it can get a little slick.

The Tranquil Treehouse is the perfect place to unplug, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature by the lake! The large deck is a great place to read a book, grill out or enjoy a morning cup of coffee! Even rainy days are peaceful at the treehouse due to the natural lullaby of the rain on the red tin roof. The lake is only 150 yards from the house. We have 2 kayaks for guests on carts for the short walk to the shore. Come soak up the sun in the crystal clear water this lake is famous for!

The rental includes both treehouses (toilet in each), cooking/eating pavilion (only cold water at sink) (outhouse nearby), outside shower (cold), firepit. Additional guests above the 2 included in per night stay are $30 per person per night up to a maximum of 11 guests during the warmer months and 5 guests total during the cooler ends of the season (June and mid Sept to mid Oct). Beds: 3 doubles, 5 singles. No pets allowed. Not ideal for very young children or people with mobility issues.

Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. This is a complete glamping experience! Think tiny house. This 12x12 tree house is equipped with an outdoor kitchen, a table for two, lounger and chair, wifi, Roku TV with Angel Studios, Great American Pure Flix, Prime, air conditioning, board games, books, comfy queen bed, air conditions, gas log, coffee, greenhouse bathhouse, and fire pit. And an outdoor movie theater. NEW: RV / tent space for additional guests with electricity (additional fee) and only used by your group.

Log Cabin/100 acres/One of a kind/Wifi-Cuddly Cow

The Cuddly Cow features a full kitchen with laundry, eating bar and dining area. There is one large bedroom with a king size bed. The room has a slider out to the front with table and chairs to have a peaceful enjoyment of nature. Full size bathroom with shower over tub and dual sinks. There is a pool next to this cabin that is not useable for guests due to insurance limitations. We have 3 addt'l cabins on the property, Velvet Rooster, Happy Hound & Pampered Peacock.

Perched on the edge of a cliff, this cabin offers incredible views of Byrd Creek below. The generous deck high above the ground, amidst towering trees and forest fauna is the perfect place to relax and get back to nature. The cabin does not have a kitchen, bathroom or AC. A short minute walk along a historic moss covered wagon trail brings you to an outdoor kitchen and clean bathhouse. Several large ceiling fans and insulation keeps the cabin comfortable in summer.
