Barrack by the Rock -A heritage home

The Barrack is part of a 130-year-old family estate, just off the Mall Road, Mussoorie. It is a standalone structure, flanked by massive, millennia-old, Himalayan rock features that give this home its uniqueness. The Barrack was recently renovated and re-decorated and now offers guest all the modern amenities and appliances needed for a comfortable stay. The interiors are modern and tasteful . They retain the colonial Himalayan home charm, with elements of pine ceilings and wood framed windows .

Enjoy the sunny days and cool nights, great views over Dehradun, staying at a comfortable cottage, with a kitchen, near Mussoorie town. Extremely quiet, a short portion of the access road is steep, drive down in first gear. Otherwise, ask for a lift with our jeep, and the next morning, wake up to the sound of cow bells. We have various places of interest in our vicinity - Shedup Choephelling Buddhist Temple, Fox's Hill, Pine Forest (Khanalti), Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, Katesar Palace, Company Garden, George Everest Observatory Ruins (Hathipaon) and The Tibetan Homes Foundation. We also offer home cooked meals on order basis. We are a couple friendly destination. Pets are not allowed.
