Supermarket and cafes are a 5 minute stroll. Thermal hot pools are 5 minutes away. Pets are welcome.

Close by is Muriwai Beach with its gannet colony and surfing, also the magnificent Kaipara Harbour, Woodhill and Riverhead forests. It is less than 5 minutes drive to the Upper Harbour Bridge which connects Hobsonvile to the North Shore, including Greenhithe and Albany.

Surrounded by Tuis and Wood pigeons the hut is close to Piha and Karekare…or simply stay and enjoy nature. Beaches are 10 minutes away by car. Grocery shopping and gassing up recommended beforehand. Misty Mountain Hut supports local Piha staff by paying $40/hr.
