Centrally located , this warm & sunny studio is easy walking distance from the best that the city has to offer, and a short drive to airport & ferries. I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. We've recently converted it to a self-contained dwelling, so we can share what we love about the city. Cafes, shops & restaurants, walks around the harbour & hills - It's all within easy reach, or just sit back & relax.

Provence French Cottage - a Wairarapa retreat.

Wonderful eco-sustainable French style cottage built of stone and native timber with picturesque views of the river valley and mountains. Near to Carterton, Greytown and Masterton. Drink pure artesian spring water while listening to abundant birds and sitting on your veranda. Go for a bush walk in the National Park across the river, go biking, play golf - or visit the vineyards and restaurants for a vibrant time. This is an adventure escape that is close to the vibrant Wairarapa 'good life'!

Wake up to birdsong nestled on the edges of Trelissick Park in Ngaio! This fun 70s vibe self-contained downstairs unit has two rooms, a lounge to chill out in and a full kitchen. Just 10mins walk from Ngaio train station you are one stop away from the central city. The bus stop just down the street is even closer. Only a 5min drive to the Interislander Ferry Terminal. Please note this is a hilly area. Access is steep and not accessible if stairs are a problem. Parking is on street only.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

Self-contained garden apartment near CBD & ferry

Above the Botanic Gardens, our quiet, spacious, character-filled apartment is only a 5 minute drive (25 minute walk for the fit) down to the CBD. A regular bus service to the city is metres away from our home. Our street has free parking, spectacular views of the city, and a park opposite with tennis courts.
