Perch on a stool at the breakfast bar under airy vaulted pine ceilings in this bright, cozy studio home. This modern backyard cottage is tucked away in a private setting, yet steps away from everything this hip neighborhood has to offer. Custom designed and hand-built by the hosts, this backyard cottage is a sanctuary in the city. After a day of exploring nearby beaches, beautiful parks, kayaking the sound or eating your way through the Farmer’s Market, come home and unwind on the private deck. Free street parking! A short walk to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, Whole Foods & Trader Joe’s. Finished in 2016, this new, custom-built studio cottage is tucked away in a private setting. The 400 sq. ft. craftsman style space is thoughtfully designed to incorporate natural daylight through large windows and high pine wood cathedral ceilings. The tasteful, modern craftsman interior creates a cozy home away from home and offers all you need for an overnight or an extended stay. Your fully equipped kitchen offers quartz countertops, a sink with Grohe faucet, petite 4-burner stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (coffee provided!), and everything you need to prepare meals, if you prefer to eat in. You'll sleep comfortably in the queen sized bed with new memory foam mattress and enjoy a full bathroom with a brand new tiled shower/tub. A CB2 Flex Full-size Sleeper Sofa (rated best sleeper sofa by Apartment Therapy) can accommodate another guest. Your cottage is set back from the street in our private backyard, atop our garage (not parked in, and rarely opened), surrounded by trees and a greenbelt behind our house. It is designed to be eco-friendly with SIP panels, LED lighting, heat pump water heater and radiant floor heating. Serene, healthy, and beautiful - and close to everything! It's perfect for out of town guests, vacationers, a staycation, or business travelers. You have the benefit of a completely private space above our detached garage with full 24-hour access, free on-street parking, and a private entrance. There are 12 stairs from the driveway to the cottage, which is a second story unit. Fresh sheets and towels are provided for longer visits, upon request. Privacy is all yours, though we're happy to help you with navigate our neighborhood and Seattle, and provide recommendations if desired. West Seattle is a sought-after neighborhood that is perfect for foodies, shoppers, families, adventurers, outdoor lovers and those visiting the city and the great Pacific Northwest--and only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown! Visit famous Alki Beach & take a walk along Lincoln Park. Walk to one of our many locally owned coffee shops, or pick up some fresh flowers or artisan made goodies on Sundays at the local Farmer's Market. Enjoy one of our many delicious restaurants. The cottage is so walkable! Your cottage is very close to the Metro city bus lines (1-3 blocks depending on what # bus) which provides easy access to hot spots like West Seattle’s own Alki Beach, a sandy Puget Sound beach with a walking/bike path, paddle boarding, canoes, and numerous eateries and coffeehouses, or beautifully wooded Lincoln Park with walking trails and huge native trees. Or zip downtown Seattle (10-15 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bus) to the take in the Waterfront, Pike Place Market, retail shopping, music venues, Seattle Center and the Space Needle, Washington State Convention Center, Starbucks headquarters, Seattle Art Museum and Pioneer Square art galleries, Safeco Field (baseball), CenturyLink Field (football), or a Washington State Ferry and much more. Light rail is also available to and from SeaTac airport with one bus transfer. You can also access Car2Go in Seattle if you have a membership. Street parking is free for Car2Go anywhere in the city. We have plenty of free street parking on our street for a vehicle or rental car. We are eager to welcome you to your cottage and enjoy the benefits of meeting new people from near and far. We are Northwest natives and college sweethearts, who have lived and traveled internationally. Now, we reside in Seattle, working to better our world through a child-focused international relief & development organization, and engineering for energy efficiency of our natural resources. Hummingbird Cottage in Quiet Residential Arbor Heights

We are 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown with easy access to the beaches at Alki and Lincoln Park. Your quiet backyard refuge is newly remodeled with everything you’ll need for a weekend or a month. We are just a half block from the bus stop and access to Seattle’s great transit system. Whether you’re here for Business, visiting family, or on holiday, Hummingbird cottage should fill the bill. You have off street parking and the entire space to yourself, with laundry facilities and a full kitchen at your disposal. If you need a highchair or pack-n-play crib for your little one just let us know. I’ll be here to greet you (unless you come in very late), in which case I’ll give you the code for our August Bluetooth lock to get in when you arrive. We’re only 50 feet away if you need us but will give you your space if you don’t. Arbor Heights is a tranquil neighborhood halfway between the airport and downtown, plus only a few minutes from grocery stores, restaurants. and parks with amazing views. Alki and Lincoln Park beaches are also easily accessible. Seattle is a good city to get around in by car but if you’re going downtown you might want to leave the car and catch the 21 bus to save the parking hassle and cost.

Easy self check-in. Nestled at the edge of an old growth forest, half a mile (uphill) walk from Alki Beach, The Humble Cottage (THC) is a cozy, quiet, private oasis, situated far off the street. Located in North Admiral neighborhood of West Seattle, our garden cottage is also within walking distance to Schmitz Preserve Park, coffee, bars/restaurants, grocery stores and public transportation. The cottage is minutes from downtown Seattle (by car or water taxi) & 15 miles from SEATAC airport.

Located in the south end of delightful West Seattle, this cozy space is full of artful touches. Queen bed, 3/4 bathroom, lovely kitchen with oven/stove, microwave, mini-fridge. Parking space off-alley for mid-size & smaller cars. You'll have some outdoor space all to yourself on the deck. Walk to coffee, sandwich shops, stunning parks, the library and more. The Driftwood Cottage is a private guesthouse offering a quiet place to unwind with easy access to the city. Inside you’ll find a comfortable king bed, a large TV, a simple kitchenette, and a private bathroom. Outside, enjoy your own fenced yard with a fire pit, gazebo, and outdoor seating. A great coffee shop and neighborhood bar are right on the block, and direct transit makes it easy to get downtown or to the stadiums. Red Door Flat, Luxurious Studio in West Seattle

Let stress flow away under one of the two shower heads in a luxurious sky lit bathroom. Grab a towel from a heated rack and slip into a soft robe. Watch widescreen TV from a king-size bed. Everything about this open and airy space is designed for relaxation. The studio is less than a mile to the main shopping area, main mass transit center to downtown Seattle and numerous grocery stores and restaurants. and a Sunday farmers' market runs all year. It's also just over a mile to Alki Beach.

Serene City Studio

Vibrant studio guest house. Every comfort was thought of as this studio was designed (and used primarily for) visiting family. This studio offers 2 queen beds (one in a bedroom that can be sectioned off with a curtain and one as a pull out sofa in the media area), a gorgeous bath with a separate sink/vanity space, a pull down desk work space and a full kitchen with an eat- in bar that seats 3. Internet: WiFi 6, Ethernet ports, 1,200 mbps ISP. 2 foldout desk options provide work spaces.

Longfellow Creek

This one-bedroom apartment is nestled on a lovely property in the woods, and is still centrally located. The apartment is full of natural light, has Persian rug covered bamboo flooring throughout, a quartz counter-topped kitchen, fully tiled bathroom: floor and shower, and has a remarkably comfortable king size memory foam bed. Two pairs of french doors open the living room up to the garden. Longfellow creek borders the property, beavers included, and a network of park trails as-well.

Beach Drive Cottage

Quiet and private backyard cottage in West Seattle with public beach access 1/2 block away across the street. Beautiful sunsets, .1+ mile walk to Alki sandy beach. 10 minutes to Vashon ferry/Lincoln Park. Drive to downtown in 20 (unless heavy traffic) minutes, Metro in 30 minutes or the water taxi and be there in 15 minutes. Close to Lumen Field and T-Mobile Field. Tempur-pedic queen Murphy bed, kitchen, bath, and office. 1 parking sp . Close to all shopping/restaurants. Washer/Dryer.
