At the Whistlestop Camp on the Greenbrier River, you can be the one that got away. This modest two bedroom, one bath home is in a prime location to facilitate all of West Virginia's outdoor recreational opportunities. From the camp, you can drop a line in the water, swim with the kids, kayak with friends, or read a book in the hammock. It's only minutes from the southern gateway to the New River Gorge and about 40 minutes to Winterplace Ski Resort. Close to everything but away from it all!

Skoolie New River Gorge - Big Blue

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. West Virginia really is “almost heaven”. The Schoolies are located just a few miles from the New River Gorge National Park. The buses are located conveniently off a well maintained gravel road and face beautiful rolling hills with hay and wildflowers in season. Deer frequent the pastures along with a family of foxes and Phil, the groundhog who has chosen it as his home. There are two schoolies if you have more people and need more space.

Primitive camp site no 1 on Rocky Hollow Paradise Rd 7/10 of mile off of Jordan Run Rd. Bring your tent and spend time with nature. 4x4 or AWD are recommended but front wheel drive cars can make it up. RD is dirt and a little rough and steep in places. NO Cell Service. Behind a locked gate. Up to 2 Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash when outside of tent. We provide some firewood. We are located 5 miles from entrance to forest rd 75 and 2 1/2 miles to entrance to forest rd 19.

Tractor Bar-New River Gorge-Summersville Lake - B

This spacious rental is within walking distance of the Legendary Tractor Bar and the beautiful Brownstone Mill. A bird watchers dream. It has a private patio outfitted for relaxation or entertaining. Our location is a short drive from Summersville Lake, the New River Gorge and some great hiking, fishing, and rock climbing. This rental has all the comforts...wifi, smart TV, coffee, on demand water heater, full size shower, regular size commode, private deck with beautiful view.

Cotch and listen to critters all night in this reclaimed camper under a sugar maple tree, alongside a small creek. 1/2 acres of outdoor space with own parking and walkway, 2 miles from walking trails, bike trails, and kayak launch, and mins from the Summersville Lake, Long Point Trail, Meadow River, and New River. Located off a residential gravel road leading to a dead end. An outdoor cat name “Lucy” lives on site; she is super friendly. The creek and a fence separate your space.

Need a simple overnight stay or a relaxing retreat? Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in our unique place…a spacious camper alongside a creek on a private lot with privacy fence and gate. Two miles outside of the city with all Morgantown has to offer…breweries, festivals, WVU, athletic events,hospitals, Coopers Rock and much more! Dog friendly with approval. $25 per night per pet (2 maximum) This camper sleeps 10 but our max is 6. One queen and two full size beds.

Peaceful getaway for relaxing

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. The camper has a full set of dishes, pots and pans as well as extra pillows, blankets, towels, and washcloths. The stove is a propane stove with 4 burners. Cleaning supplies are also available. When guests check out I go through and clean the entire camper. It has an instant hot water tank and a roof mounted A/C unit and portable electric heaters. Deer 🦌 feed is available for an extra charge of $5 for a gallon sized bag.

Riverfront Glamping on the New River

You might find fancier accommodations elsewhere, but you won't find a more peaceful, riverfront stay anywhere else in the New River Gorge. This RV sleeps 2 adults with room for 2 children in the bunks. Small kitchen, bathroom, and a unique outdoor shower. Hosts live on property but you'll have plenty of privacy. Each unit has a smokeless firepit with a larger fire pit at the far end for gathering/ larger fires. Rental comes with wood with additional wood for purchase as needed.
