The sound of the sea is ever present in this spectacular cliff-side location, where endless views of Pico Island and the blue Atlantic soothe the senses. Enjoy early morning swims at the beach below, relax over leisurely breakfasts on the terrace and dine outside watching the stars. Horta, with restaurants, shops & activities, is just a 5 minute drive away. Well equipped & tastefully appointed, this cottage is truly unique.

Located in the valley of Almoxarife. 5 min walk to the most beautiful black sand beach of the island and 10 mins to the famous Horta marina and landmark downtown by car. Completely renovated, the house offers all modern comforts. All rooms have sea views. The villa "Quinta dos Maracujas" is a located on a vast orchard, where, depending on the season, you will be able to enjoy the exotic fruits. Bars and restaurants at the bottom of the street.

Do mundialmente famoso Vulcão dos Capelinhos, aos belos trilhos da Levada e da Caldeira ou às encantadoras e pitorescas aldeias com comércio e restaurantes locais.

Das suas pedras emanam energia de gentes trabalhadora e de espírito de sacrifício. Por necessidade, aquando a erupção do vulcão dos Capelinhos, foram à procura de uma nova vida para os EUA. Que a sua estadia seja plena, tranquila e harmoniosa, pois era é a essência da Casa da Branca.

Charming Beach House along the Ocean

Located minutes from downtown Madalena, “Casa da Barca” is a charming space granting guests picturesque views of the ocean and island of Faial from one side, and iconic Pico Mountain on the other. With a privileged location in the city of Horta, the apartment is a 2-minute walk from the Ferries Terminal, 3 minutes from Conceição beach, a children's playground and picnic areas. It is also about 3 minutes from the historic city center, where you can find local shops, restaurants and the Municipal Market.

Casa Vista Fantástica

This tradicional stone house rightly bears the name "Casa Vista Fantástica". Look forward to a fantastic, unobstructed view of the wide Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring island of Pico with Portugal's highest mountain "Montanha do Pico", 2,351m. The rooms go up to the roof and convey a great feeling of space. The jewel of the house is the large conservatory, wich is glazed on 3 sides inluding the roof, and which might be better be called a summer garden.

Solar-powered wine house located in the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a couple of minutes driving from Madalena village, this traditional and remodeled wine house has its own vineyard on the backyard. A cozy space for two with a bedroom, kitchenette open to living room and a bathroom. The wine house is overlooking the ocean, Faial island and Pico mountain.

You will find this holiday home direct at the Porto Calhau. It´s a 10 minutes drive from Madalena. You couldn't be closer to the water's edge in our self-catering suite at the head of a slipway and old historic port, with amazing views,from sunrise to sunset. Whether your choice is bathing in the warm,fishing, diving or boating, it is all available right at your door.
